Um, this isn’t very satisfying, but remember on Friday’s show (Topic: I Don’t Believe It!) when Andy mentioned a movie where the wise old nun (a mother superior) defended faith against doubt. Well, actually it was this scene from the 1982 Broadway play Agnes of God (later a movie, which I never saw). It’s not exactly the way I remember it, but close enough. The scene goes on like this for several pages, and apparently much of the dialogue was cut for the movie version. Fun fact: in the original London stage version, the mother superior was played by Honor Blackman (Pussy Galore from Goldfinger).
