Friday’s Topic: Memento Mori

What do Sir Alec Guiness and Queen Latifah have in common, besides titles of nobility and mega-hit rap albums?

ANSWER: They both have less than a month to live in two films called “The Last Holiday” (him, 1950; her, 2006). Coincidence? Hardly. Doctors report a shocking increase in Weeks-ToLive syndrome, a disease that afflicts the idea-deprived. We at “Shut Up, Weirdo” care deeply for those without good ideas, so we devote Friday’s show to Weeks-ToLive syndrome and ask our callers to tell us what contrived situations they’d get into if they had Weeks-ToLive.

Call us on the air (201-209-9368) with your bucket list (3 items or less). Listen in this Friday from 6 to 7pm (Eastern) on WFMU 91.1 (NYC area) or WFMU.org (if you tip your foil hat just so).

Shut Up, Weirdo: The promise of joy. The magic of blather.
