You Know.

Friday’s Shut Up, Weirdo was entitled, Spies Like Us (Personal Tales of Espionage). I didn’t call in because I never do even though listening to that show has become a part of my either Saturday or Sunday morning ritual, but I have pretty spectacular spy skills.  When I was ten or so I had two best friends, let’s call them Kristy and Rachel (their real names).  Girls can often be both vicious and paranoid, characteristics I’m starting to realize have followed me into adulthood, even if toned down just a little bit (but mostly just the vicious part, I’m still crazy paranoid).  Rachel and I thought that Kristy was talking mad shit about us and we took it upon ourselves to, instead of just ask her, read her diary.  Kristy went on vacation and Rachel and I knew that Kristy’s family never locked the sliding glass back door to their townhouse in the apartment complex that Kristy and I both lived in. On a day that we were sure no one would be home, we creeped up in the fenced in back yard and let ourselves into the kitchen through that back door that, as planned, was unlocked.  We made it into the living room when we saw that the light above the stairs was on, panicked thinking someone was home, and booked it out of there, never actually peeking into Kristy’s diary.  I don’t think that anyone really was home, they just forgot to turn the light off, or left it on to ward off intruders (like us).  I can’t completely remember, but I think that Rachel and I may have told Kristy that we were all up in her house that day, but may have not told her why.  But what I’m trying to say is, I’ve been gangsta from the beginning.
